Reviews by Robert A. Varisco, Lehigh University
  • H-Net
Visit H-Net to discover a multitude of resources relating to the humanities. This site has resources for educators of all types on many diverse topics, but the most valuable feature is the hundreds of email-based discussion groups.
  • Internet Public Library
The Internet Public Library, powered by the University of Michigan School of Information, was created to serve the Internet public by providing tested resources, sharing research, and building best practices for librarians.
  • Association of Science-Technology Centers
The Association of Science-Technology Centers website offers a wealth of resources for museum professionals. Throughout the ASTC website are downloadable resources, profiles of museum professionals highlighting best practices from the field, and concrete strategies for practitioners, as well as the more typical links to other websites and bibliographies.
  • Crayola's "Creativity Central"
Need a good idea? Bounce over to Crayola's "Creativity Central" website. You will be bombarded by advertisements and special offers (this is a commercial site) upon entering. But to search for a usable craft idea that you can turn into a great program, go directly to the calendar page. On this page you will find every birthday, anniversary, and national holiday you can imagine and many you can't. There are downloadable activitiy sheets for each entry as well as suggestions for related books, videos and software.
